Pigiarniq is probably the best sans serif typeface that i’ve come across. Here’s what Smashing Magazine has to say about this beautiful typeface:

Dada Magazine (1917-1918), issues 1, 2 and 3.

Attempting to promulgate Dada ideas throughout Europe, Tristan Tzara launched the art and literature review Dada. [...] While the first two issues of Dada (the second appeared in December 1917) followed the structured format of Cabaret Voltaire, the third issue of Dada (December 1918) was decidedly different and marked significant changes within the Dada movement itself. Issue number 3 violated all the rules and conventions in typography and layout and undermined established notions of order and logic. Printed in newspaper format in both French and German editions, it embodies Dada’s celebration of nonsense and chaos with an explosive mixture of manifestos, poetry, and advertisements‹all typeset in randomly ordered lettering. Experience Design é uma disciplina do Design cujo o objectivo não é criar as experiências que o utilizador terá quando em interacção com o produto ou serviço em causa, mas sim criar o produto ou serviço de forma a condicionar a experiência que o utilizador irá experienciar.

Segundo Nathan Shedroff (2006), “Experience is… what our senses and mind perceive of the world.”. Experiência é aquilo que percepcionamos, interpretamos, conhecemos e sentimos da realidade que nos rodeia, com a nossa mente e com os nossos sentidos. A nossa experiência pessoal, a experiência dos outros e a experiência colectiva é algo dinâmico e que sofre constantes transformações consoante a interacção entre as várias experiências. Ela é dinâmica porque nesse processo de interacção dá-se uma troca de conhecimentos, interpretações, sensações e percepções. As experiências alteram-se umas às outras, alterando assim a experiência colectiva da cultura em causa.

The name blanket came from the simple idea that we wanted to ‘cover’ all the areas of art, design and photography and bring them together in one magazine.

At Blanket, we aim to inspire our readers through informative interviews, cheeky and humorous stories and, of course, beautiful art, design and photography.

Usability is a quality attribute that assesses how easy user interfaces are to use. The word ‘usability’ also refers to methods for improving ease-of-use during the Design process. (Nielsen in Usability 101: Introduction to Usability)

Falar em usabilidade é falar numa característica/atributo qualitativo de um determinado produto/sistema. Esta característica prende-se com a facilidade de uso deste produto/sistema. Usabilidade é assim uma característica daquilo que é usável, fácil de utilizar.

Os orçamentos em webdesign são algo muito complicado. O site pode sem uma coisa muito simples e, de um momento para o outro, ser uma coisa extremamente complexa. Quando falo em 400 euros, refiro-me a sites simples (+/- 5 páginas) e é um valor dado pelo todo. Ou seja, desde a definição dos requisitos, análise de público-alvo, fluxograma, plantas, passando pelos protótipos de interface, implementação e acabando nos testes de usabilidade.
